Floating Market at Damnoen Saduak (Tour Code BEX-302)

Tour Itinerary

Life in Thailand has always revolved around bodies of water, whether it be a lake, river, canal or otherwise. Travel by air-conditioned coach to Damnoen Saduok, 80 km southwest of Bangkok, to see salt paddy fields being irrigated by windmills. Coconuts are abundant in the area and are harvested to create sugar from its milky juice. The market is most during the mornings only between 6:00 am to 11:00 am.Transfer to a speedy long-tail boat that will take you through narrow canals before arriving at the Floating Market. Here you can experience a more mellow side of life as people glide by between farmers and shoppers of food and produce. On the banks, you will find rows of houses built on stilts in order to avoid the floodwaters during the monsoon season.
