Floating Market & Rose Garden (Tour Code BEX-303)

Tour Itinerary

Life in Thailand has always revolved around bodies of water, whether it be a lake, river, canal or otherwise. Travel by air-conditioned coach to Damnoen Saduok, 80 km southwest of Bangkok, to see salt paddy fields being irrigated by windmills. Coconuts are abundant in the area and are harvested to create sugar from its milky juice. The market is most during the mornings only between 6:00 am to 11:00 am. Transfer to a speedy long-tail boat that will take you through narrow canals before arriving at the Floating Market. Here you can experience a more mellow side of life as people glide by between farmers and shoppers of food and produce. On the banks, you will find rows of houses built on stilts in order to avoid the floodwaters during the monsoon season.

Head next to the Rose Garden where lunch will be served. Choose this tour for a quick yet comprehensive introduction into Thai culture. Not only is there a spectacular park ground with countless vegetation and flowers, but the memorable ?«??Thai Village?«‘ cultural show awaits your attendance with open arms. You will see and experience many aspects of Thai living such as: Buddhist Ordination Procession, Elegant Fingernail Dance, Hilltribe dance and music, a fascinating Thai-style wedding and finally, an exhibition of Thai martial arts. Sword fighting and Thai boxing skills will be demonstrated in an up-close and personal way.
