Tour Itinerary

After a long-tail boat ride to the Ruammitr village, you will board elephants for a trek into the jungle and wilderness, through a two-hour trail to reach the Yao hilltribe village. After two exciting trips, take some time to explore the village and enjoy a late lunch after which you will be comfortably shuttle back to Chiang Rai by car.

SPECIAL NOTES FOR THIS TOUR:

The Karenni people, also known as Karens, are by far the most populous hilltribe community in Thailand, numbering over 300,000 people. They lived along the thread of the Thai-Burmese border and it is believed that they have resided here for longer than any other hilltribe group, probably over 200 years.
