3-Day Elephant Adventure (Tour Code NAT-103)

Tour Itinerary

DAY 1:
For this tour, you will be allowed to progressively wake up later each day, but for day one, it has to be an early start. The reason being that you will have a chance to see elephants bath in the river water with their mahouts. It is both a time to play and get clean, enjoyed by both man and animal as it shows the closeness of the two. Respect and tenderness is displayed, easily being sensed even as the audience. Walk across a cable-stay bridge to the elephant school where you will see these large mammals, go about their training and work. Moving, piling and stacking logs into an orderly manner, these kind elephants make everything look so easy and light. Then, get a chance to ride them through an hour trek. After lunch, we will slowly drift on a bamboo-raft down the Ping River. We then head to Nature Lodge where we will spend the night, enjoy a meal by the camp fire and get to know the Lahu people.

DAY 2:
As promised, today?«??s schedule starts a little later and not as hectic. We travel to the Palong and Akha hilltribe villages to appreciate their unique lifestyles and see their traditional outfits. Onwards, we travel to a refreshing waterfall to relax in the chilled waters, something greatly enticing considering the heat of the day. In the afternoon, we get to mountain bike back to the Lodge, visiting local markets en-route.

DAY 3:
On the final day, choose to wake up at your convenience. Whether you are heading back to the airport or to other destinations, please be reminded that if your schedule permits, we have the opportunity to venture and visit he Orchid Farm at Mae-Rim district, seeing the graceful cultivation of these characteristically Thai flowers.
