Tour Itinerary
DAY 1:
Welcome to Bangkok, Thailand. You will be landing at the brand-new Suvarnabhumi Airport where our representative will be there to greet and transfer you to your hotel.
DAY 2:
After breakfast at your hotel, we will take you into the bustling Yao-Warat Road where there are numerous gold stores at the Gold Market Center. Nearby, you will have a chance to wander along the Pak-Klong Talad, the large whole-sale flower market. Next, we will take you to Wat Phra-Keo (The Emerald Buddha Temple), the private Roayal Temple to see the Royal Chapel, Emerald Buddha Image (the Pantheon of the Chakri Kings), Eight Towers of the Planets, replica of the famous Angkor Wat amongst many other attractions. Additionally, you will also enter the Royal Grand Palace to witness the Coronation and Funeral Halls. We will be enjoying a delicious lunch at the Sorn-Daeng Restaurant. You are free in the afternoon to explore Bangkok.
DAY 3:
Two notable museums that are worth a visit during your stay in Bangkok are Jim Thompson?«??s House and Suan Pakkard Palace. Jim Thompson?«??s House is one of the best-preserved traditional Thai houses remaining in the city. Within its walls are a vast collection of antiques and artworks from all over the Southeast Asian region. Next, visit the Suan Pakkard Palace that belongs to Princess Chumbhol of Nagor Svarga. She is an avid art collector and showcases her joy in the palace complex consisting of many fine traditional Thai houses overlooking a beautiful garden. The name, ?«??Suan Pakkard?«?? translates to ?«??cabbage patch?«??, a testament to the previous use of the land for agricultural purposes. Lunch will be served at the Chong-Ngeon Chon-Thong (Silver and Gold spoon) Restaurant. Please enjoy your afternoon at your own leisure. Dinner will be enjoyed at the Lord Jim Seafood Restaurant at the famous 5-star Oriental Hotel.
DAY 4:
Meet with our representative that will bring you to the airport for boarding flight ?«?. Departing Bangkok at?«?.bound for Chiangmai. Our representative will be waiting for you at the Chiangmai International Airport to transfer you to your hotel.
DAY 5:
After breakfast, head to Doi Suthep Mountain. With a peak in excess of 1600 meters, it houses one of the most temples in the area at Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep. It was named after the hermit Sudeva who had once lived on the mountain slopes over 600 years ago. After the spiraling ascent by car, walk up 306 steps on the Naga (dragon headed serpent) staircase to reach the top. Optionally, ride the funicular cable-car for an effort free passage. Inside the cloisters is an intriguing copper-plated Cheddi topped by a five-tier gold umbrella which contains partial relics of Lord Buddha. On a clear day, there are incomparable views over the city of Chiangmai from the grounds of the temple. We will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant followed by visitations to the areas home industries. The San-Kamphaeng district is at the heart of silk and cotton home industries. Here, you can witness the fascinating process of making and weaving these intricate fabrics. We continue onwards to Bor-Sang, the umbrella village, where delicate Thai paper umbrella are made and hand-painted. The Thai Celadon is a popular attraction as well as you can see the exquisite ceramics (modeled after Sawankhalok pottery of the Sukhothai era) are being hand made. With its deep, cracked glazed finish, the style is very distinctive and exceptionally beautiful. Lastly, we visit the lacquerware and silverware craftsman at work before heading back to the hotel.
DAY 6:
Visit the Chiangdao Elephant Camp situated only 65 km north of Chiangmai. Enjoy seeing during their morning bath along with demonstration of various skills, both for work and play. Afterwards, hop on for an hour-long elephant ride to the Lisu hilltribe village through dense forests along the river. After lunch is served at the village, board the bamboo raft for float down the Mae-Ping River for about 45 minutes. Absorb the tranquility and amazing scenery. Lastly, visit the Orchid Farm before returning to your hotel.
DAY 7:
For a complete change in scenery, move from the mountains to the sandy beaches. Our representative will transfer you to the Chiangmai International Airport to board flight ?«?.departing at?«?.bound for Bangkok and Phuket.
DAY 8:
One of Phuket?«??s most famous attractions is the nearby Phi Phi Island. Be whisked away there by an express boat and see the Maya Beach where Leo Dicaprio?«??s film ?«??The Beach?«‘ was filmed. The Viking Cave is just nearby and is truly worth a visit. Inside you will find old paintings of Asian junks (boats) that are at least 100 year old. Finally, a trip to Phi Phi Don Island, the larger of the two islands, ends the trip where you will be able to lounge, relax and soak in the sun while your lunch is being served. Here, you are surrounded by the scenic hills, awesome cliffs, long beaches and emerald waters. The diverse bird and sea life is testament to its ecological richness. Lunch will be served on the island. In the afternoon, you will be taken back to your hotel for an evening of leisure.
DAY 9:
Feel free to relax any way you please during the day, but be prepared for an exciting evening as we bring you to the Phuket Fantasea Theme Park. Inspired by Thailand?«??s rich and exotic heritage, the park showcases the charm and beauty of Thailand but also enriches the ancient Thai traditions with cutting edge technology and special effects. Spanning over 140 acres, there is a wide variety of activities and entertainment for the entire family including: festival village with carnivals, games, handicrafts and shopping, theme restaurant with a grand buffet of Thai and international cuisines plus the breathtaking Las Vegas style theoretical performance. Our agent await for you to bring you back to the hotel.
DAY 10:
A completely free day to relax in your own style.
DAY 11:
For a day of fun on the water, we will transfer you to Phang-Nga Bay and board an awaiting speedboat to travel to Phang-Nga National Park. After arriving at Ta-Lu Island, you will have the opportunity to explore on your own energy by sea-canoe, the ancient limestone caves and bizarre rock formations. We continue on the speedboat out to the idyllic Pan-Yee fishing village ?«?? an amazing community that exists in the middle of the water. Built on stilts, the village includes many homes, a school and even a mosque. Mingle with the locals and enjoy your lunch here before returning to shore and back to your hotel.
DAY 12:
On your final day, we will have transportation ready to bring you to Phuket International Airport where you will board Thai Airways flight bound for Bangkok?«??s Suvarnabhumi Airport.
